Tetrapods are one of the most iconic elements associated with Mumbai, symbolising the city's legacy of rebuilding and reclamation. They are ingrained in every Mumbaikar’s visual memory. During Diwali 2022, Mumbai Light Festival presented a unique gift for the city, inspired by these structures and the magic of lights.

TETRAPODS, showcased at Mumbai's Girgaon Chowpatty, featured thirty tetrapod-shaped structures that lit up to create various shapes, patterns, and moods. Dynamic, immersive, and a stunning addition to one of the city’s most iconic public spaces, TETRAPODS reimagined the celebration of Diwali, expanding the possibilities of how we experience the festival of lights.
